For this reason we are organising a conference in May, which will aim to get across to British trade unionists,as well as students and other interested bodies, the reality of the repression in Ireland today. This conference will not only attempt to communicate the facts to these organisations and individuals, but also place them in their political context. We will argue that the British Army, far from playing a 'peace-keeping role’ in the North, is contributing to the violence, deaths, and sectarian strife, and that this ‘is a fundamental tactic of British Imperialism's policy.
